GT750 Performance Portifolio
A collection of GT750 road test reprints and a few engine overhaul articles from bike magazines. This is one of the best value GT750 specific 'books'.

Suzuki 380-750 Triples 1972-1977 (Clymer, service repair maintenance)

Suzuki 2-Strokes 1952-1979 (Roy Bacon) Facts about the production history of all Suzuki 2-strokes with no emphasis on any particular model or any biased opinions. Also tells the story about Suzukis in relation to the contemporary off road and road racing scenes. Nice chapter about the RE-5 rotary.

Suzuki Gt 750 3 Cycle Models 1971-1977 (Owners Workshop Manuals Series, No 302, out of print)

Some out-of-print manuals

Manuals of this category are collectors items, they are the primary source of workshop service data for the GT750.
Manuals of this category in used condition regularily appear in Ebay auctions or can be bought from some of the specialized vintage GT parts dealers. Here's the ones I have :

Shown above are:

CYCLESERV 'Serving Suzuki Motorcycles - GT750' ( most pages directly from the Suzuki Engine Service Manual) so the focus is entirely on the engine. Latest news !! Available for online purchase, hurry while stocks last !
Haynes "SUZUKI GT750 3 Cylinder models 738 cc. 1971 to 1978 Owners Workshop Manual" ISBN 85696 302 X (Out of print). Most people try hard to get their hands on a copy. Somewhat overrated but a good manual. (yellow one in above picture)
Suzuki GT750 Service Manual, original from Suzuki. Written for service shops so it does not elaborate on the actual techniques to use. "Remove the cylinder block" is easier said than done for the home mechanic. (the blue one in the above picture)
Apparently this one is recently reported available from Suzuki dealers !, it's part no. "99500-17001-01E"
most recent price quote I saw (late 2000) was appr 24 british pounds.
Suzuki GT750 Engine Service Manual, see sample page, service info straight from the factory. Same audience intended as for the Service Manual. (the well used, worn blue one on the above page)
Suzuki GT750 J/K Parts Catalog (1973) (If you intend to restore this type of bike you really need the parts catalog).

The Clymer manual attempts to cover ALL three GT models, the GT380, GT550 and GT750, of all series. I think it suceeds rather well ! An unique feature of this manual is that it is written for the less fluent mechanic so it reflects and reasons on various parts of the bike design and describes the mechanic practices to use. The attempt to cover all three models in one go makes it a bit cluttered but it has some charm..

Original 1972 appearance (1973 2nd reprint) of the same manual...

This Chilton's manual sometimes appear in Ebay auctions, I don't have
this one (I suspect I don't need yet another variant).

The Suzuki GT750J Owner's Manual, read foreword !
A few rare original documents came with this manual which I got from the U.S :

You do not need all of these service manuals for succesful maintenance, but for the documentation aficionado some details are unique to all of them.
I rate the Haynes manual as overall the most useful one if you look for just one.
